Washing Machine Not Draining
Description
The washing machine cannot drain the water within the expected time. The same fault can show as E21, C2 or two beeps or flashes.

Possible Causes
- Blocked drain pump or fluff filter, including a jammed pump blade
- Drain hose kinked, twisted, blocked or pushed too far into the drain
- Drain installed at the wrong height
- Excess foam from too much detergent
Additional Troubleshooting
1. Switch off and unplug the machine.
2. Check the drain hose: no kinks or twists, no deeper than 10 cm into the drain, and the drain 60–100 cm above the base of the machine.
3. Let any hot water cool, then drain the machine through the pump filter into a shallow tray as your user manual describes. Clean the pump and fluff filter; if the pump blade is visible, turn it with a pencil, then refit the filter firmly.
4. Run a hot wash without detergent to flush the drainage system, and use less detergent if there was excess foam.
5. If the error persists, switch the machine off for 1–2 hours and restart it.
6. If it still does not drain, book a repair.
